The Tibetan and Chinese Health Secret: If You Read One Health Report a Year, This Should Be It!

It seems as if the health of America is failing. One million Americans will die of circulatory disease this year. Six hundred thousand lives will be cut short by cancer as well. How did we get in such a mess? I'm not sure. But there is a way out that is starting to generate a real buzz! Since CNN and the gang won't talk about it I decided to write is article.
Dear readers, I want to introduce you to the most nutrient dense food on the earth; wolfberries, or more specifically Lycium Barbarum.
The western scientific community have verified what Chinese and Tibetan health practitioners have known for thousands of years. Wolfberries are the healthiest known food on our planet.
In this report I will be talking specifically about wolfberries. In my research on the subject I found that not all wolfberries are created equal. The three most potent berries in the wolfberry family are Tibetan Goji berries, Chinese Xinjiang wolfberries and Chinese Ningxia wolfberries which all belong to the Lycium genus.
Wolfberries, a national treasure in China, have been used in traditional Chinese folk medicine for over 5,000 years. Ancient Chinese medical texts celebrated wolfberries for their wide range of health benefits including strengthening the 'chi" or life force of the body. The people who consumed this fruit apparently lived free of common diseases like arthritis, cancer and diabetes. Moreover, their life expectancy has reached over 100 years!
In 1988, the Beijing Nutrition Research Institute conducted detailed chemical analysis and nutritional composition studies of the dried wolfberry fruit. Hold on to your socks, this is what they discovered. In addition to being packed with vitamins B1 and B6 (which is needed by the body to convert food into energy), and vitamin E (which has never been found in fruit before), wolfberries contain more protein then whole wheat, 18 amino acids (8 of them essential for life), 21 trace minerals (including significant amounts of zinc, iron, copper, calcium, selenium, phosphorus and germanium; a very rare anti-cancer agent almost never found in food), more beta carotene than carrots, 500 times more vitamin C by weight than oranges, essential fatty acids (required for the production of hormones and smooth functioning of the brain and nervous system) and is the richest source of carotenoids (natural fat-soluble pigments that play a critical role in vitamin A activity in humans) of any food on the planet. That's not all.
Here is a short list of other health promoting compounds found in Lycium Barbarum:
Beta Sitosterol: An anti-inflammatory agent found to lower cholesterol, and used to treat sexual impotence and prostrate enlargement.
Zeaxanthin and Lutine: Valued for their role in protecting the eyes.
Betaine: Used by the liver to produce Choline which assists detoxification reactions in the liver. Betaine is known to protect DNA, enhance memory, promote muscle growth and protects us from fatty liver disease.
Cyperone: A sesquiterpene used in treatment of cervical cancer. It is also known to benefit heart and blood pressure problems as well as menstruation problems.
Solavetivone: A powerful anti-fungal and anti-bacterial agent.
Physalin: A natural compound that boosts the immune system. Found to be effective in treating leukaemia, hepatitis B and cancer.
A laboratory procedure was recently developed to measure the amount of antioxidants the foods we eat contain. The procedure known as ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) was developed by Dr. Guohua Cao at USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University, USA. ORAC is one of the most sensitive and reliable methods for measuring the ability of antioxidants to absorb free radicals. It is the only test to combine both time and degree of inhibition of free radicals.
According to Tufts University, the average person needs approximately 3,000 to 5,000 ORAC units per day to have a significant impact on plasma and tissue antioxidant capacity. Three servings of fruits and vegetables per day provide approximately 1200 ORAC units. This means the average person is short by up to 3800 ORAC units each day, depending on the fruits and vegetables they are choosing and their body's requirements. To make up the difference, experts recommend supplementing our diet with high ORAC foods to become and stay healthy and slow down the aging process caused by free radical damage.
Lycium Barbarum was rated the food with the highest antioxidant ability coming in at an amazing 3,472 ORAC units per fluid oz. Some of the other notable mentions are vitamin E oil at 3,309, pomegranates at 3,037, blueberries 2,400, raspberries 1,220.
Wolfberries have been found to have extremely high levels of immune-stimulating polysaccharides. What are polysaccharides? Polysaccharides are very large, long-chain sugar molecules that are nourishment for macrophages (large white blood cells) in the gut wall. The macrophages are then transported to other immune cells, setting off a chain of defensive events in our bodies.
Several years ago German researchers isolated polysaccharides from Echinacea purpurea (often used in medicinal formulations) and mixed them with macrophages in test tubes. They found that the polysaccharides profoundly activated the macrophages, stimulating them to effectively kill tumour cells! Also it was found macrophages increased their production of interleukin, a chemical which spurs the immune system to greater activity, and the polysaccharides also enhanced the activity of B lymphocytes, immune-system cells which fight bacterial infections.
Below are the results of a 2002 study on the effects of a Ningxia wolfberry product on phagocytes. First, why should we care about phagocytes? Phagocytes are a crucial component of the immune system and are found in the spleen. They digest foreign substances that invade the body including bacteria and other disease causing organisms. Having large numbers of phagocytes in the spleen will enable the body to more quickly eliminate foreign substances and thus prevent the development of potential illness. The effects were astounding. Spleenic phagocyte cell counts (immune cells) increased by 81% and the ORAC (antioxidant capacity) the subjects' whole blood increased as well. Essentially, you could say the subjects' blood became younger.
The conclusion I have come to after doing this research is: I believe this little fruit can change the health of the world.

Heart Attack
Research shows that people with gum disease are 25% more likely to have a heart attack. Bacteria originating from the gums to the veins and arteries cause plaque build up and arterial inflammation that can provoke jeopardous clotting. K2: An Important Vitamin You May Not Know

Many people know that vitamin K1 is involved in helping blood clot. It's found in plant foods, particularly leafy greens. Examples include kale, collard greens, spinach, turnip greens, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts.
Apparently, vitamin K1 deficiency is rare.
But another vitamin - K2 - is important for its completely different functions. K2 helps to:
• prevent cardiovascular disease
• form strong bones and teeth
• prevent osteoporosis
• prevent kidney stones
• promote healthy skin and prevent wrinkles
• prevent cavities, and more.
K2 is found primarily in animal products and fermented foods. (It has several subtypes, but I'm going to declare that info beyond the scope of this brief article!) Food sources of K2 are listed below.
While K1 and K2 are similar in structure, they seem so different. Is there any connection between the two? And if so, what is it?
Let's Start with How K2 Prevents Cardiovascular Disease
K2 promotes the deposit of calcium in bones and teeth, especially when it's combined with vitamin D3. That's because K2 activates osteocalcin and other proteins related to skeletal growth and bone formation.
Yet K2 also prevents the deposit of calcium in soft tissues, where it doesn't belong. As a result, it can help prevent calcification of arteries and the formation of atherosclerotic plaques.
That's its link with cardiovascular disease prevention.
Why Are Animal Products the Primary K2 Source?
The human body can convert K1 to K2 but is limited in its ability to do that. Animals are better at the conversion process.
And here we find the connection between the 2 vitamins.
Animals get their K1 from eating grasses and other plants. They convert that K1 to K2.
So it's not enough to eat cheese or butter to get K2, for example - even though some sources simply list those foods. Instead, we need to choose cheese or butter from grass-fed cows because of the K1/K2 connection.
Fermented cheeses - such as Jarlsberg, Edam, Gouda, cheddar, Brie, and blue - contain vitamin K2 formed by the bacteria used during their production. Of these, cheddar and Brie are particularly high in K2 due to the types of bacteria used.
Ghee (clarified butter) from grass-fed cows is an excellent source of K2, even better than regular butter.
Egg yolks are another good source of K2 - but should come from free-range chickens, which eat grasses.
Dark chicken meat and beef are good K2 sources, but again should be from grass-fed animals.
Two other sources are goose liver and chicken liver. In keeping with the other K2 info, my recommendation would be to eat free-range versions of those animal products, as well.
What Should Vegans Eat to Get K2?
Natto from fermented soy is one of the few non-animal sources of vitamin K2, and has a high K2 content.
Sauerkraut is another K2 source.
I suggest real, fermented sauerkraut. That means the label should list only 2 ingredients: cabbage and salt. Possibly water, as well. Avoid a more "standard" product with vinegar. That would actually be pickled cabbage, not fermented sauerkraut.
Kimchi is fermented vegetables and also contains K2.
So there's a little info on vitamin K2. Because we can convert K1 to K2 to some degree, I'd recommend that you eat plenty of leafy green vegetables - for many health reasons, but also to get lots of K1.

Healthy Eating - What To Consider When Choosing a Protein Bar

If you are at all supplement savvy where your nutrition program is concerned, chances are you have come across a protein bar or two. These are very popular right now and can make for an excellent way to help improve your protein intake and fuel your day. But, if you are not careful, the protein bar you choose will not be much more than a glorified chocolate bar. How can you be sure the one you decide on is going to deliver the results you are after?
Let us go over the top points to keep in mind when selecting a protein bar...
1. The Total Calorie Content. First, consider the total calorie content of the bar you are thinking about buying. Unless you are purposely trying to gain body weight, you do not want the bar to come in at any more than around 200 calories per serving. Some bars are creeping up there at around 250 or more calories, so either skip those entirely or save them for a day when you are particularly active.
Remember you are looking for a snack here, not a full-blown meal.
2. The Fat To Protein Ratio. Next, check out the fat to protein ratio the bar has to offer. Are you getting more protein grams than fat grams? The protein/fat ratio is important. Remember fat has over twice the calories per gram than protein does, so if they are about equal in grams, this means you are getting far more calories from the fat than you are from the protein.
A good protein bar should have...
  • around 20 grams of protein, and
  • between 5 to 10 grams of dietary fat.
This will put the total contributing calories of fat and protein to around the same level.
3. Sugar Overload! Sugar is the big thing you will want to watch out for when choosing your bar. Too many bars have 15, 20 - even 30 grams of sugar per bar. That is as much as what you will find in your favorite chocolate bar.
Skip those. Protein bars with a high sugar content are not meant for anyone looking to maintain a favorable body weight or wanting to keep their blood sugar levels stable.
4. Sugar Alcohols. Finally, beware of sugar alcohols. Sugar alcohols may seem appealing as they are not going to spike your blood sugar levels the same as pure sugar would, but do not be fooled. They have other effects.

Vitamin B Deficiencies Show in Your Tongue

No person is deficient in any one B vitamin without being deficient in all of them! That's because the B vitamins occur together in food as part of a complex. This is true of all vitamins and minerals. They work together.
There are, however, as many degrees and variations of B-vitamin deficiencies as there are different individuals. Formerly the disease beriberi was thought to be caused by a deficiency of vitamin B1 (thiamine) and pellagra by lack of the B vitamin, niacin (B3).
When human volunteers stayed on diets lacking vitamin B1 (thiamine) or niacin (vitamin B3), however, neither beriberi nor pellagra has been produced. These diseases actually result from multiple deficiencies of all the B vitamins, the lack of vitamin B1 or niacin being only more prominent.
Even schizophrenia is caused by a vitamin B3 (niacin) deficiency but it too won't be the only B vitamin deficiency - just the main one. Even The list goes on and on.
Your Tongue
The good news is that you can tell how adequate your intake of B vitamins has been by looking at your tongue. It should be moderate in size, an even pink in color, and smooth around the edges without coating or indentations showing where it has rested against your teeth. The taste buds should be uniformly small and cover the entire surface and edges.
If you can find a healthy child, you may see what the normal tongue should look like.
Vitamin B Deficiency Indications
Many changes take place in your tongue when you're short of B vitamins. The first change appears to be enlargement of the buds at the front and sides of your tongue. Later these buds become small or even disappear, making the tip and sides smooth, whereas the buds farther back will progressively enlarge. These buds have a flat appearance like button mushrooms.
As the deficiencies of these vitamins become more severe, clumps of taste buds fuse and grow together, pulling apart from other clumps and thus forming grooves or fissures. The first groove usually forms down the center of the tongue.
Groovy Tongue
In a severe B-vitamin deficiency, your tongue may be so cut by grooves and fissures that it looks like a relief map of the Grand Canyon and surrounding territory or a flank steak run through a tenderizing machine.
When deficiencies are still more severe, your taste buds literally disappear. First the tip and edges become smooth and shiny; then the buds disappear progressively from front to back. This extreme condition is found most often in elderly persons whose diets have been inadequate for years; they complain that their foods have little flavor. In some cases such tongues are intensely sore. In other cases, persons having extremely abnormal tongues are surprised to find that they differ from normal.
Beefy Tongue
The size of your tongue also indicates deficiencies of these vitamins. It may be large, beefy, and full of water (edematous). Often such a tongue shows scallops around the edges where it has rested against the teeth. The beefy tongue is called that because it has the appearance of beef and is usually an intense deep red. On the other hand, it may become too small, or atrophied.
Purple Tongue
Other tongues may have a purplish or magenta cast, and still others may be a brilliant red. Often the tongue shows a combination of colors with perhaps a red tip and a magenta center. The color and texture vary depending upon which B-vitamin lack is most prominent.
For example, a magenta tongue (the color seen most often) indicates that a deficiency of vitamin B2 predominates over the other B-vitamin deficiencies. A beefy tongue is thought to show that pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) is particularly under-supplied. When deficiencies of vitamin B12 and folic acid are most prominent, the tongue becomes strawberry red and smooth at the tip and sides; it is often shiny and not coated.
Fiery Red Tongue
If the deficiency is predominantly the B vitamin, niacin (vitamin B3), your tongue may be fiery red at the tip and may appear to be either too small or too large and so coated that it is fuzzy with debris. The heavy coating is caused by the growth of undesirable bacteria; it usually indicates much putrefaction in the intestine. Since valuable bacteria in the intestine produce B vitamins, such coating probably never occurs if bacteria growth is normal.
Stomach Acid and Digestion
Studies indicate that 60 - 100% of the persons showing severe tongue changes are unable to produce sufficient amounts of hydrochloric acid in their stomachs. This leads to the use of antacids - the worst thing you can do because the problem is actually caused by too little acid.
The output of digestive enzymes is far below normal. In such cases, digestion is so faulty that unless tablets of hydrochloric acid and digestive enzymes are taken temporarily, much gas, flatulence, digestive disturbances, and discomfort may be experienced.
In fact, if your digestion is so faulty that you have intestinal gas after you add foods rich in the B vitamins to your diet, you can be sure you have been deficient in these vitamins. The best thing to do is continue and take enzymes till the deficiency has been corrected. The worst thing to do is stop because then the problem of the deficiencies is still there.
Water Soluble
Most of the B vitamins dissolve in water and for this reason cannot be stored in the body. Just as a sponge can be slightly moist or dripping wet, however, so can the cells hold little or much of each B vitamin, depending on the amount offered. To maintain ideal health, the offering of B vitamins should be sufficient for each cell to take all it can use to advantage. Any B vitamins not needed are excreted in the urine.
B Vitamins Work Together
It appears that all B vitamins work together. This co-operation is called the synergistic action of the B vitamins. The taking of one or more B vitamins increases the need for the others not supplied, probably because any one B vitamin alone can increase the activity of each body cell. The group in its entirety can be obtained only from such foods as liver, yeast, and wheat germ. (Please note that due to a high phosphorus - also an important mineral - content in Brewer's Yeast it is important to balance it with calcium.)
To discuss the deficiencies of the B vitamins separately is as unrealistic as to believe in men from Mars. Such deficiencies exist only in an experimental laboratory. A deficiency of one, however, often predominates over others. If the first symptoms of deficiency are recognized, they can serve as a warning that unless your nutrition is improved, great deviations from health can be expected.

I am going to tell you and show you how to make it happen for you, as it is for me and many others.
Listen to me carefully, we are healthy by design and sick by default!
Living a healthy life is a matter of choice we make every day by the things we do, the food we eat and drink, and overall life we live. I am going to show you how to live a dynamic, vibrant healthy life. How to live your full life and never get sick, and how do do all this without drugs or surgery.
How to look like you have found the secret of the fountain of youth.
Let me ask you this all important question,
Why Are We Sick?
If we don't know the cause of something, it almost impossible to fix it. So, we have t0 first explore what is making us so sick, and I am sure some of the reasons that are making us sick might surprise you.
To put it at the very basic and say, there are only two reasons why a person become ill.
  1. You "catch" something, meaning, your body picks up a germ, generally a bacteria or a virus.
  2. Your body develop an illness or a disease. That will happen because something has gone wrong in your systems, causing some imbalance.
Something is not working as it should, and a disease or an illness develop. Examples are, cancer, heart disease, diabetes, acid reflux, arthritis, etc.
Remember that our focus is living healthy, so now, let's dig a little deeper in these two causes of all illnesses and diseases. And I'll start with the first cause of catching something.
We said before that is either a bacteria or a germ causing the problem. But look at this fact, the atmosphere is filled with these small and most times invisible creatures. Have you ever ask why some people in the same environment where others who pick up the germ and they are fine!
Don't tell me everyone is made up differently, and you will soon understand why this argument cannot stands the test of a day.
I said earlier that we are healthy by design, meaning, our bodies are designed to fight off those bacteria and germs that are bombarding us every day.
That inbuilt apparatus is called the Immune System which has two fundamental functions which are vital to the survival of the person.
  1. The Immune System is for identification of all types of micro-organisms and foreign bodies that are potentially dangerous to the individual.
  2. The Immune System is also for destruction of these micro-organisms, substances or foreign bodies.
Our Immune System can be weakened from a variety of ways, and these are some of the most common:
A. Under or malnourishment which is a lack of essential nutrients like vitamins and some trace elements.
B. Stress, can either be physical or psychological. Obesity can be a cause.
C. Chemotherapy which comes in the form of anti-cancer medication
D. Infectious diseases come from "catching" something
E. Dieting includes the foods that contribute in special ways to the correct functioning of the complex Immune
System
F. AIDS: Is the Immune System deficiency caused by a viral attacks on your body's defense mechanisms.
Let me remind you of the two reasons why people get sick:
  1. You catch something and your body cannot fight it off, as a result your body give in to the germs.
  2. Your body develops something in the genetically weak areas.
In both of the above cases the causes are the same.
A. Your Immune System is weak
B. Toxins are attacking your body

When we consider those two fundamental causes for illnesses, we can conclude that all sicknesses come from one or a combination of four things. This is what Kevin Trudeau in one of his books called: "Natural Cures They Don't Want You To Know About" said about why we get sick.
These are the four basic reasons Kevin give for all sicknesses:
  1. People get sick because they have too many toxins in their bodies

  3. We are exposed to and negatively affected by Electromagnetic Chaos (EMC).
  4. You have trapped mental and emotional stress
According to Kevin, these are the only four reasons why our Immune System could be weak or why genetically weak areas in the body can break down, and thus allowing illness and diseases to develop.
Although Kevin said these are the only reasons for all illnesses, I would like to add one more reason why we get sick.
Because I want to establish this fact, or I should say this TRUTH!!
We as living creatures called human beings are different from all other living things. Only human beings are created in the image and likeness of Elohim.
As a result, only human beings are created in His image and likeness, meaning, just like how Elohim exist in three formalities as Father, Son and Holy Ghost, we also exist in three dimensions as body soul and spirit.
To state it correctly, we are first and foremost spirit, with a soul in a body.
As a result of this enlightened truth, we can also get sick from a spiritual perspective. The medical experts call this psychosomatic illnesses
Psycho in psychosomatic comes from the root word psychic, and mean among other things, the supernatural or spiritual.
There are researches surrounding psychosomatic illnesses which seems to provide sufficient scientific evidence that the mind or the intangible part of a person, or a person's beliefs and thoughts, have the ability to cause physical changes in the body.
If we are going to be Living Healthy lives, holistic healthy lives, then all three areas on man's existence must be covered. Complete health is in spirit, soul and body.
Therefore I will say people are sick because of these five reasons
  1. We allow too many toxins in our bodies for too long
  2. We are not eating properly balanced meals resulting us suffering from nutritional deficiencies,
  3. We are exposed to and negatively affected by electromagnetic chaos (emc).
  4. We do not properly manage mental and emotional stress
  5. We ignore the Spirit-man that is more real than the physical man
There are things we can, and other things we cannot control. Therefore, the only way to manage those uncontrollable things, is to ensure the cells of our body are vibrantly healthy and strong to function as they should.
One such things we cannot control is electromagnetic fields to which we are all exposed.
What is electromagnetism?
Electromagnetism is a scientific word in physics used to describe one of the fundamental forces of nature. This force is between subatomic particles such as protons and electrons. You have to have a basic knowledge of physic to appreciate these terms.
Electromagnetism helps to hold matter together. It is also used to describe how a magnetic field is created by the flowing of electric current.
Our body has electromagnetic fields and communication systems. Electromagnetic chaos come about when wireless devices like the laptops, computers, televisions and cell phones are used too frequently. And even more dangerous when we sleep with them in the bedroom.
The resulting distortion creates chaos within the body's electromagnetic fields and communication systems. This causes physical, mental and emotional imbalances.
Electromagnetic chaos is a negatively powerful force and causes disease.

Living Healthy Through Balanced Diet
There are areas where we have complete control. For example, in the area of nutrition to prevent nutritional deficiencies.
People suffer unnecessarily because they do not eat the right way.
The proper way to ensure you are eating a balanced diet, is to include portions in your meals every day.
The portions should be considered in colors. So, in your daily eating, make sure you consume 50% green, 35% yellow, and 15% red. In so doing, you are covering all the basic nutritional needs of your cells.
Eating like this is the natural way to live healthy life and cancel the imposition of nutritional deficiency diseases.
In other words, we will not suffer from those noncommunicable diseases (NCD), that most people develop from improper or unhealthy eating habits.
